Week 4: My Hero Fights Hunger

I am a druid. And now, I am being worshipped as the hero that end world hunger.

You might be wondering how I ended up in this situation. Well, let’s take a step back.

Few years ago, I was just a normal human being. One day, during a heavy storm, an ancient tree that had stood beside my house for thousands of years was struck by lightning. I happened to be nearby and got struck together with it.
The next thing I knew, I had gained the powers of a druid. I discovered that I could grow crops normally requiring months to harvest in just a single day. I also gained the ability to speak with plants and even with fairies.

Uncle Ben once said: “With great power comes great responsibility.” I knew this power was not just a gift—it was a mission.
A mission to end world hunger.

So, I recorded a video of myself instantly magically growing mature plants and posted it on YouTube. The video instantly went viral. Some comments claimed it was all CGI and editing tricks, but I quickly put those doubts to rest by livestreaming it. Viewers watched in real time as I transformed barren soil into fields of crops within seconds.

One week later, a black car pulled up in front of my house. A few serious-looking men stepped out and introduced themselves as members of the World Hunger Association, an organization that had been trying to solve world hunger for the past 300 years. They asked me to prove my abilities, and I did so easily.

They offered me a partnership: to come to their base in the United States and help bring an end to world hunger. I agreed without hesitation.

At their base, I worked nonstop growing massive quantities of crops and plants that would normally take months to mature. Then I took it one step further: I began communicating directly with the plants, asking them to develop seeds that could grow quickly without needing my magic. The plants agreed, saying they would do their best to adapt and evolve.

Thus, I became the translator between the plants and the biological research team.

A few months later, our combined efforts bore fruit. New seed varieties were created that required only 1/10th the time to grow and were highly resistant to drought, storms, and poor soil conditions. These “miracle seeds” were shipped all over the world.

I also proposed giving 20kg of free seeds to every farmer, globally. The team followed through.
Meanwhile, I created detailed instructional videos, showing step-by-step how to grow, care for, and harvest the crops. These videos went viral and were translated into hundreds of languages. Even people in remote tribal areas learned how to farm using my methods.

As my fame spread, the world started calling me a hero. They even built a giant statue of me and gave me the title “PLANTMAN.”
What an ugly name… but I didn’t have much choice. I accepted it with a smile.

To make sure no one was left behind, I personally visited rural regions, handed out seeds, and educated communities on farming practices. I made sure everyone from city dwellers to nomads had access to food.

Of course, I faced challenges. Climate change caused sudden droughts, and rain would vanish for months. But I adapted. I created seeds that didn’t need water at all, only sunlight. These new breeds were even stronger and more resilient.

Through it all, I gave everything I had to make sure every corner of the world had food. I encouraged continued research into plant DNA, so that future generations could develop even better seeds, stronger, faster, more nutritious.
